Run free in the cold, don’t let the cold run you.

In their brand manifesto, Satisfy Running make it clear they’re chasing a high — “That elusive moment when running frees your mind and you reach a new level consciousness”. Even if you don’t run, I’m sure you’re familiar with the feeling — the moments of zen as you reach exercise-nirvana and your troubles melt away. Satisfy aim to remove any distraction that could hinder your journey to running enlightenment by creating pieces with functionality at their core. Designed and prototyped in their Paris studio, and produced in Europe there’s no doubt that the quality of their product is there to match the ambition of their goal.

Satisfy Running’s Winter Pack stays true to this philosophy. Satisfy recognise that running the winter months can be a challenge, the idea of braving the elements can be enough to discourage even the hardiest runner. But, pushing through and overcoming that challenge can lead to some of the highest highs. The Winter Pack is designed with that in mind, supporting the runner in reaching those heights. The collection was inspired by a friend of the brand: Patrick Stangbye. Patrick is based in Norway and as an inevitability must face the harshest winter conditions as a runner. Traversing snow-covered forests, fjords and alpine ridges requires a kit that can deliver — the Winter Pack aims to do so.

Fabric choices are central to the Winter Pack, a point emphasised by the lack of print and imagery on the pieces. Japanese Cloud Merino™ is hand tie-dyed and used for short and long sleeve t-shirts to allow for layering while still ensuring warmth, and Polartec™ bandanas and long sleeves create even more layering options to add to the versatility of the drop.

Trail Shorts and Sherpa Running Caps are also great additions to the collection, but the standout piece is the Packable Windbreaker in the Jadeite colourway. Constructed from Aluminium Ripstop to ensure durability without sacrificing warmth or weight, the Windbreaker is the ideal outerwear for running when the weather may not be on your side. Hand straps and an adjustable hood and mean that jacket will remain secure letting you run undistracted. Ventilation along the sleeves and reflective patches allow the jacket to be worn year-round and when it’s dark. A number of pockets, including secure inner ones for your keys and phone, and the fact the jacket packs down into a built-in sleeve pocket that can be clipped on to a pair of Satisfy’s running shorts are functional touches that demonstrate the brand’s attention to detail.

The Winter Pack equips a runner for anything the colder months could throw at them. But, the attention to fabrics and functional details make the pieces in the drop something more.

“Run free in the cold, don’t let the cold run you.”

The Winter Pack and Winter Pack 2 (adding more colourways to the line-up) are available on Satisfy’s website.
